Great news for the Citizens of Gig Harbor! The legislature just passed the capital budget with $65 million for the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program! The most exciting news is.......This funding includes $180,000 for our Gig Harbor Maritime PlayZone playground, and $302,328 for Eddon Boat Waterfront park! The WWRP funds of $65 million will fund 86 projects, from local parks and ballfields to wildlife habitat, trailheads, boat launches, access for hunting and fishing, trails and farmland in every corner of Washington State. The legislature also maintained the WWRP’s integrity. Thank you for the tireless hours that everyone has spent advocating for our projects and for the great support of the WWRP.
