Great update on Nemo and Harley :-) Nemo ought to be called Thumper. As soon as you make eye contact, her tail starts thumping. Call her name and the speed doubles. She will chase balls but needs a big head start. She has one speed –slow- but is so proud of herself when she brings the ball back. Regular exercise will be a good thing to build some muscle tone and take off ten or so pounds. Mellow girl. Very quiet. When the pack hears an imaginary intruder and go streaming out the dog door, Nemo looks out the sliding glass door to see if there really is anything to be concerned about. She likes giving kisses and receiving belly rubs. After everyone settles down for the night, she lies on her back on a dog bed with all four feet up in the air. So easy to play with on the floor with her incredibly soft coat. If FM is steering the vacuum monster, Nemo prefers to be outside with FD feeding the birds or hanging on the front porch. Harley is a grand champion ball chaser. Very soft mouth and drops the ball in your hand. If you want to start playing ball, just ask him to find the ball and he will go looking for one. Very good eye to mouth coordination. Catches bouncing balls on the run! Definitely has lab butt with the wagging tail and loves whatever attention he gets. Follows whatever human seems to be doing the most interesting thing. Neither has any interest in the cats- don’t even look in their direction when they meow, but they still haven’t met them face to face, however, when Harley lies at the front door with his head out the cat door and one of the cats bats at the flap, he is oblivious. The two of them lie side by side and kiss each other just to say hi. Both want to be wherever foster Mom and Dad are. Eat together and give each other their space.
