I grew up not liking myself very much even though my parents tried to teach me love I found it hard to love myself. I always tried to please those around me and live up to their expectations of me and it always failed. I lost all dignity and turn to a life of anger and violence. When I woke up from that Life it took a long time to learn to love myself but it was worth the effort because once I learned to love myself I was able to love other people just the way they are. I stopped walking in the shadow of other people and lifted my head in dignity. I live my life the way I choose and your approval is not required.
