Greatest Nigerian Students! Today being Monday, we are supposed - TopicsExpress

Greatest Nigerian Students! Today being Monday, we are supposed to lock down the school and go to Oke-Imosan to give Governor Amosun a season 2 of the protest we started two weeks ago. That was the plan. But events of this past week that led to the shutdown of our school and the banning of all/any public gathering of students means we must rethink our methods, review our plans, go back to the drawing board, tear down the old plan and carve out a new plan of action. Are we still going to protest? YES! A million Amosuns cannot stop us. Are we still going to gather in spite of the ban on meetings? YES! As long as we are still citizens of this country and our rights havent been eroded, WE WILL GATHER. Do we think we can still win this struggle? YES! Infact, we are more confident than we were at the beginning of this struggle. With the gaffe by the state Government in locking down the school, we are so close to victory now that we can almost taste it. He either reduce the fees to the amount we want and most importantly implement it this session or this state will know no peace. We appeal to students not to travel. Please resist all urge to travel. Tell your parents that if you travel, you will come back to pay not just the same fees, but more than that. That is the plan of the state government. Remain in school. Let us collectively hold our ground. We are closer now to victory than ever. Brainstorming is going on seriously and the line of action will be unveiled soonest. The protest may not hold on Monday, Tuesday or even Wednesday, but it will hold! Let us have a solid trust in our leaders. Government will spread so many propaganda against them that they have collected money, they are political, they are this, they are that, but please let us refuse to be deceived. We have come together thus far and must never let doubts and distrust come among us. We remain in school! We are not travelling! We will shock Amosun! And when we are called upon to come out en masse, we must respond. James Ogunjimi CDHR Coordinator
