Greed and selfishness are among the greatest weaknesses of mankind,both within the Church and non Christian circles.When God tells us to pray without ceasing,His intention is not to make you a slave to prayer;rather it is to keep you alert,and make you responsible over the gifts and callings Hes vested in your life,as well as in the world around you.Prayer equips you with spiritual gifts to tap that which still lies untapped in those that havent received Christ as their Lord and Saviour and well as the untapped riches of this world and the Kingdom of God. A farm left unattended is invaded by weed or thieves when they realise there is no one watching.Infact,the greatest thieves are unseen.They come like poison and if you are not careful,you could be destroyed by the poison that invades some crops when they are not harvested at the right time.A few years ago,I visited Cameroon and saw my beautiful six years old niece.Shortly after I returned to Australia ,she was announced dead because of food poisoning from Cassava that had overstayed in the ground for many years and become poisonous.To the ordinary eyes,this was very healthy cassava,but in reality,it had become a poisonous weed,not fit for consumption .In fact,my younger brother and his wife were nearly killed by the same poisoning.Had they been alert,they could have known that this cassava was no longer fit for human consumption . Today,I pray that you will stay alert in prayer henceforth,not out of fear,but out of a genuine desire to stay in touch with God.Is45:18-21,1Thes5:17. May your lamp never run dry of oil.May you receive a passion for souls and to stay in touch with God always.May you reap your harvest in its right time.You will make it,in Jesus mighty name,amen!!!
