What youll do: Responsible for administrative duties of the hotel front desk. Register and process guests promptly upon arrival and departure, including greeting guests, assign rooms, and issue keys; Ensure guests satisfaction and complete flow of communication at and around the front desk; Perform all guest accounting functions according to established hotel procedure to ensure all guest and house accounts are completed and accurate; Receive and process telephone and walk-in reservations accurately to ensure guest satisfaction; Maintain records of room availability and guest accounts; Review accounts and charges with guests during the check out process (receive payment; Assist in addressing all guest service needs and resolve any service-related problems or issues. Maintain records of room availability and guest accounts; Review accounts and charges with guests during the check out process (receive payment; Maintain constant contact with support staff (PBX, maintenance, housekeeping) for guest needs; Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters so prompt corrective actions can be taken; Convey escort instructions to bell hops; Assist in addressing all guest service needs and resolve any service-related problems or issues; Comply with all Company Policies, Procedures, Rules and Regulations; and other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements The ideal candidate will possess good verbal and written communication skills and must be computer literate (Microsoft Word, Access, Power Point, Excel, and hotel software preferred). They will have the ability to operate automated phone systems, and the ability to learn new software. You must have excellent problem solving and strong guest services skills. Education: Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Experience: Minimum 2 (two) years related experience in customer service. Certificate / License: The ability to obtain a Michigan Gaming Occupational Level Two License. What you’ll get: Greektown Casino provides a competitive compensation package to all Team Members.
