Greeting, When a call to redeploy me as the Executive Mayor of the Mopani District Municipality was made, I resigned in terms of Section 59 (a) of the Municipal Structures Act. This means that I only resigned as per the above said Section not Section 27 (a), lightly translating that I remain a councillor as deployed in 2011 by the ANC. The speculation that I refuse to resign is defamatory and intends hugely to create unnecessary conflicts within and outside both my person and that of the ANC as a deploying body. Kindly let us not allow human temptations to create confusion, or perhaps avoid blind strive for personal glory using names of other comrades. Leswafo Joshua Matlou Councilor MDM
