Greetings Family and Friends. I thought I would catch all up on the events of the past week. God has been doing amazing things in my life. He has healed me from a lot of emotional junk and has given me new freedom. I feel like a new person and have so much hope now. It also turns out that asthma and VOG do not go together. I absolutely loved my time in Kona, especially getting to know those in my class and my roommates. I already miss them and its only been a day and half since leaving. So on Sunday I flew to Honolulu. My friend Amy found a great hotel on Expedia. I am staying at the Pacific Beach Hotel in Waikiki. Boy this city has changed since I was there 20 plus years ago. If you like high end shopping you will be in 7th heaven. Of course it does have a really cool vibe and neat restaurants. Last night I had fun walking around after having dinner at the hotel restaurant Oceanarium. Today I slept in and then rode the trolly around and ended up at the Ala Moana Center. This mall is huge. When I got back to the hotel, I decided to get a massage at the hotels spa. What a heavenly luxury. Tomorrow I am suppose to take an all day tour, but I think a lot is going to depend on what Tropical storm Flossie does. I can honestly say I have never waited out a tropical storm, let alone while in a hotel. On Wednesday, I fly to Maui and will be staying in the Lahina area. During this time I will be checking out the YWAM base in Paia, Hawaii. Please be praying as I wait out God’s direction. I would really like to do a DTS (Discipleship, Training, Service) and there are lots of opportunities and places to do this at. I can also take part in YWAM’s Mission builder program.
