Greetings, My name is Albert (Kope P’ay Ahn Kooie) Ortiz, I am the head singer and drum keeper for the Medicine Sky Singers drum I am also the Chairman of the A.I.M. of Indiana and Kentucky. When we were gifted our drum we were told that it was the peoples drum as we were and are all members of the American Indian Movement. As many of you know and have been following the case of Mah-hi-vist Goodblanket and the Goodblanket family in Oklahoma. The family has been trying to raise funds via gofundme and have only raised $2,598 of 75k they need for expenses. We have recently been in contact with Melissa Goodblanket through a mutual friend and we have offered our help to help raise funds. Not only as members of the American Indian Movement of Indiana and Kentucky or the Medicine Sky Singers but as native people who care about other native people.
