Greetings everyone! JFK High School will again be making the news in the next 3 weeks for being the very first school on Guam to take the lead in putting together a huge musical production in Chamorro. The play entitled Guahu Taotao Tano- I am a native of the land, is a Chamorro musical written by the late Carlos P. Taitano and current president of UOG Dr. Robert Underwood. I would like to ask JFK alumni and friends for your support to help make this event a success. The planning committee would like your assistance in: 1) Donating drinks, fruits, desserts, and\or finger foods for the performers and stage crew members for the performance day(s); 2) Making an in-kind donation of $50 that would go towards the purchasing of supplies, clothing, decorations, and equipment needed for the play. As well as to pay for photography and videography services to help document this historical event for JFK. For your in-kind donation, your name and graduation year (if a JFK alumnist), your business, or just your name (if not a JFK alumnist) will be placed on a souvenir booklet and program in recognition for your generous donation; and/or 3) By attending or helping me spread the word about the event on April 25 or 26. The attached flier has all the information you need to know about the musical production. Tickets should be available for purchase starting next week Monday, April 7. I would like to thank you all in advance for your help and I look forward to the Islander spirit and pride in helping make this a spectacular event. GO ISLANDERS!
