Greetings from the Carrick Community Council Membership Committee! As of the end of 2014, memberships will now be good for a 12 month period (previously the membership was good until the end of the calendar year in which you joined). Membership is open to all (18 and older) who want to make Carrick a great place in which to live, visit, and work. If your CCC membership expired in 2014, please renew for 2015 via our website or print out the application to mail in. Your tax deductible membership fee of $5.00 contributes to: -Volunteer events in the community such as the community gardens, litter cleanup, and other beautification projects. -Our yearly traditions including: Halloween Party, Cornfest, Community Gardens -The costs of meetings, printings, copying, posting and community outreach Membership Benefits: ~Membership is good for 12 months. Dues are payable by check or cash. Applications and payment are also accepted via paypal at carrickpa . ~As part of the HCAP program, members will receive a CCC membership card that currently entitles you (and up to 3 other people) unlimited visits to the Heinz History Center, Meadowcroft and the Fort Pitt Museum at no cost. ~Members are able to review the various community communication outlets such as the “Carrick Community Council” on Facebook and the CCC website at carrickpa to receive updates on events happening locally and general announcements of interest to the community. You also have the option to join the Carrick List Serve at carrickPA@googlegroups. ~Members can attend public membership meetings held four times throughout the year to hear about what is happening in the community, provide feedback and ideas, and to learn how you can get involved in future initiatives. Only paid members are eligible to vote at the elections held annually in November. ~Members are encouraged to join with others with planning and participating on committees such as Crime and Safety, Beautification, and Special Events.
