Greetings from the Grand Cayman Islands. Took a catamaran to a sandbar in 4 - 5 feet of water that seemed to be in the middle of nowhere; they call it Stingray City. Stingrays everywhere. You can feed them, pet them, swim with them. Way cool. Hard to believe one killed Steve Irwin (the Aussie Crocodile Hunter) they are so gentle and feel like wet velvet. Grand Cayman isnt all that gentle though. A couple years back the Cayman Government refused to allow a gay cruise ship with 900 people into port and made them leave. This is the worst kind of hate -- institutional, governmentally imposed hate. And although the population is 60% black, I didnt see them up front dealing with the tourists or in supervisor/mgnt positions. I can see the want ads now Position available; only white or light-skin/good hair need apply. They suck!
