Grieving people....think about it now...*before* the holidays jump out behind the door and make you cry ;-). That first year I threw out ALL the Christmas traditions and took the kids to Silver Dollar City (brilliant!). The second year I tentatively tried out the old traditions to see if they still fit. Now I need to examine my feelings about this year. I dont believe in over-planning but I do believe in being honest with myself and asking myself what it is I want and dont want. I know one thing. Thanksgiving was Joes favorite holiday and its hard on me. So this year Id like to do something different and I need the help of my young friends. Ive always dreamed of being the home away from home spot for college kids and Thanksgiving could be the perfect day for it. This Thanksgiving Id like to cook a turkey and all the trimmings for any college-aged kid (I am old. I can call you that) who cant get home for the holiday. Ryan Tombs, can you please share this with all your classmates who are on FB? Maybe they can friend me and find out Im not scary and I wont poison the turkey ;-). Michael Vogt and Matt Vogt...Im hoping you guys will help me host this? I can make it at a time where it doesnt interfere with your family dinner (Ramona Vogt)? (two huge meals on one day!?) Im open to thoughts and suggestions! This year Thanksgiving will be happy....
