Grilling and barbecue are a summer favorite. However, hot metal, lighter fluids, propane gas, and fire can make for a potentially dangerous situation. Follow a few precautions to make sure everyone stays safe at your next evening meal or family gathering. • Propane and charcoal BBQ grills should only be used outdoors. • The grill should be placed well away from the home, deck railings and out from under eaves and overhanging branches. • Perform routine checks on gas grills to ensure there are no gas leaks, build ups, or blockages that can cause explosions. Refer to your owner’s manual for specifics. • Keep children and pets away from the grill area. • Keep your grill clean by removing grease or fat buildup from the grills and in trays below the grill. • Never leave your grill unattended.
