Grochau Cellars is looking for a harvest intern. The hours would vary from 20-50 hours a week and would last approximately 6 weeks. At this time I would expect the cleaning portion of this job to start around the second week of September. This job is in the Eola-Amity Hills outside of Salem, so a good car is necessary. Experience is not necessary but the following things are: You must be able to lift 40#s or more. Must have a good sense of humor. Must be able to read my sleep deprived mind, or at least try understand my mumbled instructions. Must be a positive Can Do kind of person. Must have attention to detail. Must like beer. Must be ok with the occasional (usually one or two a harvest) 15 hour day. Must be able to deal with stupid drivers who drive at or below the speed limit while in the left lane on I-5. Extra points for: A good cook who likes to plan out and cook lunches for everybody (at my expense), and can do so with minimal cooking surfaces. Someone who is a homebrewer who likes to share their brews with others. Someone who lives near a bakery. Someone who loves coffee and likes to bring new beans in for us to try.
