Group Input Requested: I would like some input please (again ... Yall have been so incredibly helpful) ...my child support is currently paid in cash with a hand written receipt signed by both parties (ridiculous, right? But he managed to convince the judge that was best at the time) ... ExN is deploying very soon. Weve agreed (and the judge knows) that an income withholding order will be best that way I dont have to collect child support from him via his mommy. Hes been dragging his feet saying hed get it taken care of for the last two months. He hasnt. Obviously. So I sent in papers to the state child support reinforcement agency requesting the IWO. I dont know when he received papers in it, but now suddenly we need to talk about the child support issue. Can he legally withhold child support until the order goes through? If he does, will I be able to get back pay until the last time he paid by showing my receipts signed by both of us? How long do these agencies usually take to enforce things?
