Growing up my Mom wasnt 100% available, a single mom, she was busy working and going to school to build a better life for us. I never realized how much this would affect my parenting approach. I was always career focused growing up. After failed attempts at getting into law school, I found my way into a Masters program at UNC-Chapel Hill and into a career in government budgeting and finance that I loved and felt like I could really make a difference and help people (that was always my career goal). And then I had Kennedy. I worked almost the first year of her life and every day I left her at daycare I ached to be with her. It never got easier. I never expected that I would want to be a stay at home mom. With a job change for Ryan we had an opportunity to allow me to try my hand at being a stay at home mom. That was 3.5 years ago and Ive never looked back. Ryan works hard to take care of us and he does well, but that doesnt mean we dont make sacrifices for me to be at home. I love every minute of it, but Ive always wished I could find a way to contribute. Its just my nature, Im a worker bee. I seriously NEVER imagined I could find a way to build a full-time income from home, especially a way that didnt require parties or leaving my children. But I have, its crazy...crazy beautiful! After almost a year of beachbody coaching and I see the light, there wont be a day that I have to miss my childrens games or school events. This truly can provide a full-time income for my family. Yes, I work, and work hard, but I do it on my terms. This is MY business to create. And Im helping people just like I had always planned to do. Im just so thankful, really. Thankful that God placed this before me and thankful that I was willing to completely step out of my comfort zone. Coaching has changed things for my family. In a VERY positive way!
