Growth is a word that, in Barcelona, should be read in a different way, beyond tangible questions. We have a tendency to believe that progress is the equivalent of growth, when in reality progress is the equivalent of balance. The super cities of the world bast of being the biggest, but this in itself does not bring greater benefit to its people or its visitors. Growth, then, is not an accumulation of data: avenues constructed, streets asphalted, the number of inhabitants, etc. GROWTH IS A WAY OF FEELING FULL AND LIVING WITH THE SENSATION THAT EVERY DAY WE LEARN SOMETHING NEW. This is the merit of Barcelona at the beginning of the 21st century.
