Grrr... Rude and ignorant people really get to me... Brayden and I were walking around in the mall earlier and he started doing some screaming (which is common with his autism and happens when sometimes when he gets frustrated)... Well, the male security guard who was nearby just looked at me like I with disgust like I was some criminal or something... So, I did what I do a lot of times and said to Brayden, I know you have autism and some people dont understand it (saying it loud enough so he could hear me)... Just ticks me off because you would think that a security guard would perhaps be more understanding, because he deals with the public all of the time, and Im sure has seen and heard much worse... Sick of people just assuming that Im just some horrible parent. I will say though that a lot of times once I say to Brayden what I say to him (and so people can hear), most people usually change their tune pretty quickly and arent as rude or judgemental after that. The snap judgments just get tiring after awhile...
