Guadalajara welcomes diving hopefuls for YOG qualifying event The FINA Diving Qualifying Event for the 2nd Youth Olympic Games will take place from March 1-2, 2014 in Guadalajara (MEX). The competition programme includes six events: mens 3m springboard, womens 3m springboard, mens 10m platform, womens 10m platform, mixed 3m team event and mixed 10m team event. A total 48 divers will compete in the mens and womens 3m springboard and 10m platform. The top-9 finishers at the qualifying event will earn a berth. One spot is reserved for the host country (China) and two are universality places. Nanjing (CHN) will host the second edition of the Summer Youth Olympic Games from August 16-28, 2014. With diving and swimming events on the programme, the YOG gather the best athletes aged 14 to 18 years old from more than 200 National Olympic Committees to celebrate the values of sport, cultural exchange and education.
