Guess what? 26 Black Bears and 4 grizzly cubs eat a ton of food each day. We are looking at ways to lower costs to ensure we dont run out of finances. In Smithers we have buckets at Grocery stores to collect fruits. I talked to Bandstra and they would transport from Terrace once or twice a week for a reasonable fee. Would someone in Terrace be willing to set up a collection system at local grocery stores and ship via Bandsra twice a week? As this will take a few days to get to us, I was thinking apples, carrots, other root vegies and oranges for starters. NLWS would supply collection boxes and could help out with gas costs if needed. Not sure if the stores would help, but asking never hurts right So anyone interested in a volunteer job?
