Guinness world records 2014... First human infected with a computer virus. On May 27, 2010 Mark Gasson from the university of reading, announced that he had inplanted an RFID (radio-frequency identification) chip into his hand, which he then infected with a computer virus. The chip allows him to activate his cell phone and pass through security doors. When he passed thru a seciruty door, the system that recognizes the RFID chip also accepts the virus, which it then passed is passed on to other RFID chip or swipe cards used to activate the door. Gassons virus was a proof of concept designed to highlight potential threats to implants, such as pacemakers and cochlear implants.
