@Guy McLean As I woke this morning and started to think of all - TopicsExpress

@Guy McLean As I woke this morning and started to think of all the things I still need to do and I began to focus on my many dreams and aspirations still unfulfilled, I felt a little drained and as though I could do with a bit of a Pep talk and so I wrote this poem and as I read it over several times, I can not help but smile and be happy and I sincerely hope that it does the same for all that read it. Please feel free to share. The key to Happiness Happiness, is pure perception A choice, to Smile or Frown A split decision caught in time To look Up, instead of Down Its a choice we can make daily To let our spirits soar To find the good in every moment To shine out from every pore It can be easier said than done To smile through hurt and pain But let your grin now be the sunshine Blasting out through cloud and rain Let the moments that confuse you Fall away now to the side As you focus on the good in life And restore your inner pride Let the beauty all around you Fill your mind and heart and soul As you look to the horizon Focused now on dreams and goals Change the outlook of existence With a better point of view Dont get caught up in the details Just Stand and Strive and Do Dont let others rule your Happiness Write the story thats your own Place the words upon the paper Of a lifes seed, now well sown Let your Joy now be contagious As you invigorate the world Sharing love from gestures kind and just Like a flower now unfurled Happiness, can now be yours to own A friend in times of need For she will help you rise above The thoughts of jealousy and greed... And help you now enjoy each moment Like it might be your last As you be thankful for your Present For your Future and your Past Happiness is Pure emotion And we are holding now the key For you to be a better You And me, a better Me Written by Guy McLean June 4th 2014
