Guy just stopped at the booth and asked me about fixing up his tattoo. He got it when he was drunk and it just didnt turn out the way he wanted. It was a cancer ribbon with a star in the middle. The tattoo was awful. The lines were shaky, the color was splotchy, the star was misshapen, and the ribbon ends werent even close to similar. He said it was almost perfect, they were going for the Sailor Jerry style so it was supposed to be splotchy and misshapen. All he wanted was the lines made solid black. I told him Jerry was a way better artist than the scratcher who did his and it could only be covered up. Thats not what he wanted, hes the customer so we should do just the lines. I told him my name goes out the door on every tattoo we do whether it is brand new or a repair. I am not putting my name on a tattoo that doesnt look professional. So now Im an asshole.
