Guys this is all getting a wee tiny big bit out of hand! I think we must call off our search for Mother Nature as it turns out she is a very formidable character! We have discovered that she is in charge of much more than just the weather and wildebeests – in fact, she is in charge of pretty much everyweething! I must be honest, there is no way I would want that job after all – a pug would never get a decent sleep! I would have to work pretty much full-time and that, my dear friends, is out of the question! Thank you all anyway for your help with our research but can I ask that if any of you ever do get to meet her don’t for feck sake mention my name and please, for the love of God, don’t ever tell her I called her a trollop! Sometimes, I speak before I think and it’s always getting me into trouble. I’ll be out in the garden someday minding my own business and find myself getting thundered upon or blew to blazes in a hurry-cane! Anyway, for all our sakes I think we should never mention this again. Ok, moving on……… yesterday mum and dad took us to the beach (don’t mention the weather) and a sea lion swam right up close to my mum :-) She was in the water with Layla and Lucy ((Alfie and I didn’t go swimming yesterday because it was too cold (shit, that wasn’t a complaint honestly… feck I just said shit, don’t tell my mum!)) and it just popped its wee head up in front of her. Typically, the camera had run out of battery so she wasn’t able to get a photo of it. Anyway, it hung around for ages and actually came up to about 6 foot away from her – she was all excited and was shouting like a banshee to Layla and Lucy to look at it …….. Needless to say Lucy was far too interested in her stick and Layla wouldn’t notice it unless it tapped her on the shoulder and introduced itself! I wish I had been in swimming because I would have loved to see it up close – it was brilliant at swimming and was able to swim under the water and everything – it didn’t even have to wear a life jacket or maybe it’s mum and dad couldn’t afford to buy it one – I’m not sure ….. but anyway it didn’t matter because it was doing very well without one! Do sea lions eat wildebeests? If not, then they are going to be my new favourite animal!!! Then the funniest thing happened when we got back to the car – dad was drying Layla and Lucy and mum saw Alfie run over and jump into another person’s car! She yelled at him to come back but he totally ignored her. She yelled louder and crosser but he still ignored her. She started over towards the car (totally mad by now) when the lady driving the car got out and asked why my mum was yelling at her dog …………. Yup, you’ve guessed it, it wasn’t Alfie at all hee hee hee hee. In mum’s defence it was a black pug but it definitely wasn’t my brother – he was already in our car! Mum went all red and apologised profusely – dad and us laughed so hard we got the hiccups … Mum was very quiet the whole way home :-)
