Guys, today was Orlandos Memorial and I was there with Matthew James, who came down to be there. I was there to represent all of us; many of whom feel the loss very deeply, but stay quiet. While we were there, Matt hummed the song attached and I couldnt. I had to fight tears and try to be as nonchalant about it as possible. It was a very dignified ceremony where they read the words James sent from all of us through tears. The hardest part came when they did Last Roll Call. This is when they called the names of soldiers and they answered. That is, until they get to the name of the soldier that wont answer because he is no longer there. That was the hardest part, that is when you feel the loss so deeply, when you truly feel they are gone. Afterward, we went to a room to give our condolences to Rubia. I didnt want to let go of her because it felt like I would be letting go of Orlando and I am not ready for that. She held me back and said Thanks for coming. Then when people kept cutting in front of Matt, he moved aside. Rubia stopped everyone, came over, gave him a hug and said to us Is nice to see some of the old faces. She then went back to the rest of the people. I wasnt able to stop the tears coming out of my eyes and we left. Orlando, we will never forget you, we will meet again.
