(H/T, Kurt E Damrow) This is when the selection of a Governor, Attorney General and State Legislature is so important. At some point you meet the Obama administration at your State Border and say hell no....no more. But the purse strings of the Fed are what keeps the States in order. When Kurt proposed making the Michigan State Police the Michigan Bureau of Investigations handling all major felony investigations in the State I was met with....do you realize we could lose federal road patrol money? My response was So..where does it come from? It comes from our State Taxpayers anyway... At some point States need to do the same thing to the Fed...reverse that procedure and say...from now on, people in our State will only pay State Taxes and the State will decide how much we will pay the Fed for the military, roads, social security and other needed programs....
