HAPPINESS -- English In their pursuit of happiness, Many attempt to grasp it by relying on material things; But what they seek is not there. How pitiful are those Who cut the ties of happiness of their own accord, And choose instead,to take the road to hell. Civilization does not bring happiness; is a Todays world is a civilization Humanity has created for itself. Endeavoring to make others happy is absolutely required in order to achieve happiness for ourselves. However,there are too many individuals in this world who think only of attaining happiness for themselves, without giving through to the unhappy states of others. This is a truly foolish attitude because,in trying to reap the fruits of happiness,they are sowing the seeds of unhappiness. The true objective of spiritual teachings is to implant in ones mind a love for others, a desire to work for the welfare of others. MEISHU-SAMA FELICIDAD -- Español En la busqueda de la verdad muchos tratan de encontrarla en las cosas materiales pero lo que ellos buscan no esta alli. Que lamentable son aquellos que cortan los lazos de la felicidad por su propia voluntad y prefieren en cambio tomar el camino hacia el infierno. La civilizacion no trae la felicidad, porque el mundo de hoy es un mundo civilizado creado por la humanidad. El esfuerzo por hacer a otros felices es absolutamente necesario para conseguir la propia felicidad, sin embargo hay muchos individuos en este mundo que solo buscan su propia felicidad sin pensar para nada en la felicidad de los otros. Esta,en realidad es una actitud absurda porque tratando de colectar los frutos de la felicidad estan sembrando la semilla de la infelicidad. La religion cristiana enseña amor y el budismo enseña compasion. En ninguna de las dos el objetivo real es implantar en la mente el amor por los otros. MEISHU-SAMA
