Ours is a romance, comedy, tragedy, action packed, drama, but most of all it is a story of enduring love against all odds. It shows that when God makes two people that He intends to be “ONE FLESH” no matter what all takes place, it may be delayed but it can not be denied. OURS IS THAT STORY!!! A year ago today we became husband and wife but our hearts were joined many, many years ago. The celebration continues on. I figure it will for the rest of our lives since we never grow tired of each other. We are still side by side loving each other as no one else can. You may not be a perfect man but you are the perfect man for me. No other gifts have you ever given me that means more to me than your heart, your trust and your love. All of these are most precious to me. I love your smile, that one you have just for me. I love your sparkling eyes, that little look you can give to me that only I know what your thinking. I love your voice in the middle of the night as you whisper “I love you” in my ear. I love laying with my head on your chest listing to your heart beat with mine. I love your laugh, your sense of humor. You can make me laugh even when I’m trying to be serious or when I am sad. I love the way you still open the car door for me, for always holding my hand when we are walking or watching TV all snuggled up on the couch. I love you for being proud of me and the way you are quick to let others know no matter who they are that your heart and life belong to and with me alone. If ever there were two peas in a pod, it would be us. Most of all I love you for being “YOU”!!! For always being “MY RICKY” and for loving me no matter what. There is so much I want to say , but this is the condensed version. I just want to tell you that this has been ,other than the day I was saved so many years ago, the absolute best year of my life and I wouldnt have missed it for the world. You make me so happy. You know me better than anyone else in the world. They say that the first year is the hardest but when your married to you best friend it’s the time of your life. We have known each other for so many years, over thirty years, and there is so much history between us, so many fun filled memories, secrets, and stories that we have a security that through thick and thin we are there for each other. What was still is and always will be for me and you. Thank You for making me to know that I am loved, safe and secure with you. You are my lover, my confidant, my prayer partner, my one true friend .YOU are the man I want beside me for the rest of my life. I look forward to many, many, more years with the love of my life.
