The Code of Virginia only states that the nets must be ...300 yards of the sides or end of a commercial fishing pier. Stolle to allow the Virginia Marine Resource Commission to increase that distance if necessary; the legislation was tabled and remains in the Agriculture, Chesapeake and Natural Resources Committee.
