HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY NIGERIANS!!! "ORILE EDE MI NI, AYE MI TUN NI" How on earth will I wish her bad even if the governed are being maltreated by their leaders. We do not have any other country, hence it is imperative to fight for another independence from our corrupt leaders who now act as our past colonial masters! The wish of our past heroes who fought for the indepedence from the Britons was to see the sovereignty of a nation that would be devoid of any form of mismanagements like bastadized economy, dismantled education, insecurity by impoverished hoodlums, state of black out by PHCN, highest order of unemployement and many more. As am writing this peice, dead bodies are being cleared in Yobe where boko haram unleashed their terrors. Has our president visited the school to commiserate with the innocent parents of the deseased? If it were to be in western world, protocols would have been broken to pay urgent attention to the incident because value is mostly placed on lives. Our fighters of Independence many of whom have died, their families ought to be celebrated along with Independence if at all the situation on ground permit us to celebrate. In as much as I would not wont to be labelled as someone who doesnt value Independence day of our country, also I will not shy away from expressing my cogent view of a country that I see claiming her giantism in Africa in all human aspects, especially in economy. Happy independence day my people. Let us pray for our country over all success!
