HAPPY SABBATH: THE ONLY WAY TO CONNECT THE DOTS IN OUR LIFE, IS LOOKING BACKWARD NEVER FORWARD.THE OLD STONES STILL SPEAK FROM THE PAST. And those twelve stones, which they took out of Jordan, Joshua set up at Gilgal. And he said to the people of Israel , When your children and Grandchildren ask their fathers in times to come, What do these stones mean? then you shall let your children know, Israel passed over this Jordon on dry ground. Joshua 4:20/22, RSV. We began our faith journey telling you how GOD,JESUS,THE HOLY SPIRIT AND OUR GUARDIAN ANGELS HAVE WATCHED OVER US IN OUR PAST HISTORY. GODS truth hasnt changed with the passage of time. The Bible is a historical Book. It traces the great points in salvation history from creation to the second advent. Thus the Bible is a book of remembrance of GODS miraculous leading of His people. And that leading is not over. It continues on and will do so until the final victory has been won. Its when Ron and Joyce lose the significance and reality of GODs leading in their Past history that we are in trouble , and our children quit asking about the stones piled up From out past. Just as it was in Bible times, so it is today. In reviewing our past history, Having traveled over every step of our journey to our present time. We can say, Praise GOD! What the LORD HAS DONE IN OUR FAMILY We are filled with astonishment and with confidence in Christ our righteousness! We have nothing to fear for our future, except We forget how the mighty forces of Heaven has protected, encouraged, exhorted, chastised, and loved us. The dots that connect, the pathway from the past indicates the way in the future. When we forget to tell our children, childrens children, friends GODS Leading in the past we lose our our sense of identity I. Our loss of identity causes our loss of mission and purpose. After all, if you dont know who you are in relation to GODS plan, what can we tell our childrens children how GOD has lead us in the past. The Bible is littered with religious bodies who have forgotten. Their bodies are littered with the dead and dying bodies, which have forgotten how GOD has blessed, nurtured, encouraged and admonished them in the past. My goal was to write a Simple message every week for the last hundred weeks to remind them of the symbolic stones, of our family passing over on dry ground. To record the many blessings, trials, suffering, tribulations, and to weave in the mysterious hand of GODS LOVE,PATIENC,KINDNESS, LONGSUFFERING, JUSTICE AND MERCY TO ALL OF US. The forgetting is one of my families greatest temptations. We have nothing to fear , unless we forget HOW GOD HAS BLESSED US IN THE PAST.
