HE THAT HAS A MIND TO KNOW CHRIST JESUS Intro; Any person who has a mind to know Christ Jesus shall be known of Him, and the person shall also know Him. According to Lk 19; 1-10, Zacchaeus was a chief tax collector but sought to know Christ. (2) He was rich but he sought to know Him. (3) Because of the crowd, he couldn’t see Him so he ran on ahead and climbed up in a sycamore tree in order to see Jesus. When Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay in your house. Beloved, whoever has a mind to know Christ shall be known of Him, and he also shall know Him but, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 1. It takes determination (Perseverance) in spite of challenges. 2. Unless you come down (humility). Forsake all sins. 3. Unless you value salvation more than anything, and consider all things but loss (forsake all) Phil 3; 7-10 (AMPV) 4. Know that there may be challenges (criticism, accusation, blaming, and judgment) Rom 14; 10-13. 5. And through the word of God, you shall know Him 1Sam 3; 7 6. Except through prayer and fasting Matt 9; 14-15 Beloved, if any man has a mind to know Christ, let him close his eyes and ears from all kinds of criticisms, blaming and people’s judgment. Let him value salvation more than anything, and with determination and counting all things but loss, he shall be known of Him.
