HEADS UP RESCUE FOLKS..I have heard of this before and have seen the results of two or more of the dogs being placed with the hogs but apparently this is becoming more ORGANIZED..just received from a VERY RELIABLE SOURCE..please keep an eye out if you are doing rescues of ANY KIND..we are not using names as we dont want them changing tactics..we want the word to get around..Deb: WARNING WARNING WARNING:We recently had a man come to the adoption trailer that requested bait dogs for a sport called Hog Doggin - :This hog doggin is a new blood sport the way it is being done in Sherman, and I am pretty sure the surrounding areas. It is not simply hunting with dogs, it is cruel and a sport were a dog and a wild hog are put in a pen together until the one of the two animals is ripped apart. Pit bulls are often used in this sport as well as Aussies, Catahoulas, Black Mouth Cur and several other breeds. We need to know what to look for since these people go to their local shelters to get their bait dogs.
