HEART : EARTH APRIL 25-26, 2014 “The Earth is alive and she sings, calling each of us to remember our sacred place and dance of life. She calls us to recognize that all of us walk around the sacred wheel, that whatever tradition we have come from, we can all trace our roots to the Great Tree of Peace.” - Venerable Dhyani Ywahoo DANCE WORKSHOP Friday, April 25th / 6-9 pm, $40 suggested donation / at: Balance Arts Center, 34 West 28th Street 3rd Floor (between Broadway and 6th ave) All welcome to learn and deepen the profound practice of the Dance of Directions with Madeleine Piat-Landolt. There will be a brief introduction to the sacred Dance at 10:30AM for those unable to attend the Friday evening workshop. You may participate in the Dance for the full duration or for a portion of it. In the afternoon CURB staff will be hosting free environmental education programs for kids and families as part of their weekend “River Explorers” series, sponsored by the Thomas and Agnes Carvel Foundation. This includes Catch of the Day Seining, which involves wading into the water to capture fish and other living organisms using a micromesh net, showing even our youngest visitors that the river is part of a complex ecosystem that nurtures an amazing diversity of living things, including people. If you’d like to participate in that program RSVP to: [email protected]. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS We are honored to have Madeleine Piat-Landolt traveling from Lincoln, VT to teach the workshop on Friday night and lead us in the Dance of the Directions on Saturday. Madeleine has been practicing, teaching and leading the sacred dances of the Ywahoo lineage since 1989 and respectfully shares this good medicine for the benefit of all beings.
