HELP CREATE A POLLINATOR GARDEN IN PUBLIC SPACE: Please join us this afternoon from 2:30-4:30 or tomorrow (Weds) 10am-noon, to help with remediation of the slope below the Cowichan District Hospital by the Gibbins roundabout. We’ve already removed a bunch of invasive species. Now our goal is to turn the slope into a wild pollinator garden. We will finish removing and burying Scotch broom roots, prepping site, terracing, making nesting boxes and hopefully, get to some planting. Dress for gardening and bring garden gloves and a shovel, trowel, clippers if you have them. Access is via the staff parking lot behind the hospital.
