*HELP FOR A FAN* My most recent cake project involved using lots of black sugarpaste (Renshaws). Ive used a few different colours of sugarpaste, but time & time again ive found it so very temperamental i.e. cracks when rolling out, sticks to a icing sugar dusted surface, tears when trying to lift it from board to cake (despite being rolled out at least 1/2 & despite introducing Trex to it, there is just no respite from the many testing attributes of it. Ive used it for tiny bits of decoration/ figurines ive had to do on cakes but never for covering an entire cake... x 4 of them furthermore! It was a nightmare & left on the verge of a wobbler I wondered if anyone else has had the similar problem & if so, any tips on how to negotiate this in future/ is there a better alternative to Renshaws that may do the job? Many thanks, Pris at The Cake Rustler Can you help? xx
