HELP US TO REBUILD THE INOROGAN... GREETINGS! A group composed of laymen, together with the Parish Priest of Nuestra Señora de las Angustias and in cooperation of the Iriga City Local Government is undertaking renovation project of the Inorogan Chapel in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Iriga City. The chapel erected more than four decades ago, which stood in a lot donated by the late Pedro N. Sanchez, is facing deterioration in some parts of the stairs and in the chapel structure itself. The renovation would involve more than just restructuring the chapel and stairs. It would likewise open a new access road leading to the back of the chapel with a parking area, so that devotees and pilgrims will find going to the pilgrim site easy. A 10-meter high landmark statue of the Pieta with adoration room will be constructed and other improvements, such as landscaping, construction of a dome enclosure in the stone miracle site and the wall of gratitude and citations for the major donors and sponsors. Legends tell that the image of Nuestra Señora de las Angustias that is now enshrined in Nabua Catholic Church was found by three agtas atop a stone after saving the locality from floods and other calamities. In the light of the aforementioned undertaking, we are proposing your partnership with us, and together we give honor to the blessed Mother, and establish awareness among our youth who have little knowledge of our rich spiritual and cultural past. In addition, it can bring economic contribution to Rinconda as a whole because of the projects tourism value.
