HELP WANTED: I would like to find someone who has experience doing ebooks and/or kindle and hardback amazon self-publishing to put together a few books from the contents on Beyond Meds. There are a few reasons I want help to do this. First and foremost people ask for books all the time. I can appreciate that a lot of the content would be nice to have in other formats. Blogs aren’t all that flexible. Second, because I’ve lived this stuff already, I’m not terribly interested in revisiting the content of this blog in the manner putting together books would require. I need someone who wants to deeply engage in the material that they might make appropriate edits and connections. It will require a lot of work since a lot of the content is very, uh, bloggy — with lots of links etc. Thirdly I don’t have a clue how to make an e-book or self-publish on Amazon. So, basically, if you have some experience in self-publishing AND you have a keen interest in engaging the material from Beyond Meds very deeply. (there are 5000 posts now) AND you think you might be able to come up with creative ways to bring different threads from the blog together, I need you. (for ideas you can scan the drop-down navigation menus at the top of the blog — there are many subjects that might group well into different books or booklets) Payment will be a percentage of the proceeds once the ebooks are published. I do not have funds to pay up front…so again, this has to be something you actually think will be fun! I have no idea how they might sell or not…though, as I said, people ask for them all the time. I also need someone who is very self-directed and motivated. It’s your job to come up with ideas for how to bring the material together. Yes, I will help and have ideas of my own, but I want you to be into generating ideas since, again, I’ve not done this before and I also simply don’t have the capacity to work closely with folks just yet. For example, I’m still unable to make firm commitments…I need you to be able to work with little or no supervision.
