{HELP} ZOE asks.........I am looking at buying a house that is right next to a high voltage power line. Initially this was hugely concerning for me however I did some research and found some publications by the Leukaemia Foundation and various power companies (not that I would trust their information on the topic) and there isnt any strong evidence to suggest a link between exposure to high voltage power lines and cancer. My husband hired an electromagnetic field monitor and we took measurements around our current house and at this other house and they were pretty similar. The monitor showed high readings right under the power lines but the level was similar to sitting in front of a computer, standing right in front of a tv and microwave. Does anyone have any other information on this topic? I have a very young family and want to do whats best for them!
