HELPLINE: FROM ONE MUM TO ANOTHER: Please post only comments that are useful, helpful, constructive and practical I got married to this guy and were from the same town.I got to know him through my aunt who knows his family very well, so I was recommended to him for marriage. We met and liked each other. He told me hes based in Ghana and is into clothing business. He went ahead to pay my bride price in February 2012 and we had our traditional wedding ceremony in December, same year. I opened a shop and was also teaching and managing my life even before the traditional wedding. January 2013, I decided to join him in Ghana. When we got to Ghana to my utmost surprise, my so-called husband wasnt doing any reasonable business, didnt have any shop, not to talk of going out like every other reasonable or sensible man, he and his friend just carried laptops about: a man whos over 40 years old! I was so angry, depressed and disappointed. I prayed, wept, and cried but no answers were came. I asked him is this how you intend to run a home, to pay school fees when the kids start arriving? He said he intends to stop when he makes a lot of money, enough to start a good business. So when will that be, I asked. He has a bus and a small car and refused to use either for transport business. He even gave the bus to his cousin who duped him and disappeared with the bus. I came back home and told my parents all that I saw and they are behind me, 100% even saying I should come back, that hes not a serious person, neither is he ready for marriage. So ladies, what do you think?
