VIDEO has emerged of asylum seekers being towed back to Indonesia on an orange lifeboat purchased by the Abbott Government in his bid to stop the boats. Asylum seekers filmed their trip on the lifeboat after an ill-fated attempt to travel to Christmas Island on a wooden boat last month. Iranian Arash Sedigh, one of 36 intercepted by the Customs ship Triton, told the ABCs 7.30 he was punched by officers and pushed into the water before they forced him into the lifeboat.
