HERE COME THE RAINBOW PEOPLE By Michael Tellinger - 1995 South Africa In 1994, shortly after the first democratic elections, and highly inspired by the events, I wrote an inspirational and highly emotional song about the courage of the people of South Africa. Little did I know that I would be participating in the 2014 elections as a candidate and the founder of the UBUNTU Party - deeply disappointed by the regime that was supposed to be the liberator of the people. In 1994 our leaders simply replaced one enslavement by another. We may have gained our political freedom - but we were plunged into a new brutal economic enslavement system that does not discriminate based on the colour of your skin. So, this is another call to the brave and resilient RAINBOW PEOPLE of this beautiful country to rise up against their new oppressors - and realise that there is a way out of the misery, economic hardship and financial slavery that our government has dumped us in. Only the UBUNTU philosophy will truly FREE the people after another 20 years of abuse.
