HIS PERFECT STRENGTH And he said unto me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." 2Cor. 12:9, NKJV Life broke my heart and wrecked my path, With rocks and pitfalls, too. I sat and wept and then I asked, "Whatever shall I do?" A gentle whisper deep within I had to strain to hear Said, "Hold My hand and take a step and dont give way to fear." And so i stood And, reaching out, I felt his presence strong, Tentatively, a step I took- The pathway seemed so long. The boulders huge and pitfalls deep Were agony supreme, But then I heard His voice again, "Dont be afraid to lean." I leaned on Him, My precious Lord, And felt my feet grow light, And sunshine seemed to fill the sky Where once it had been night. My weakness is His perfect strength, His eyes the way will guide, And though the path be rough at times, WE WALK IT----SIDE BY SIDE. by alice covey
