HK PROTEST ++++++++++++ CY Leung warned that police will take all actions necessary +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Clashes erupted between pro-democracy supporters and their pro-government opponents in Hong Kong’s Mong Kok district. After a week of largely peaceful demonstrations demanding Beijing grant Hong Kong the unfettered right to choose its own leader, the mood turned ugly on Friday. Many Hong Kong residents expressed anger and frustration at police handling of the unrest, with some accusing security forces of co-operating with the criminal gangs, failing to make arrests and helping some attackers to exit the scene quickly. Meanwhile, Hong Kongs leader has warned that police will take all actions necessary to ensure government offices and schools reopen on Monday. CY Leung called on demonstrators to allow the government and citizens to resume their normal work and life after a week of disruption.
