HONOR THE WOMEN THIS WOMENS’ DAY International women’s Day - TopicsExpress

HONOR THE WOMEN THIS WOMENS’ DAY International women’s Day is celebrated globally every year on 8th March. Originally called the International Working Women’s Day, it was first started as a political and socialist movement in 1909 in four European countries. Until the late 1900s, the influence of the day was limited to Europe. In 1975, 8th March was announced as the official date for International Women’s Day by the United Nations. Thereafter, the influence of the day began reaching other parts of the world. Today, the day is celebrated around the world in different ways. It is a day to commemorate the achievements of women and to raise awareness for the social and politician equality of women around the world. There are fundamental truths every individual associates women with, be they male or female! 1. Everyone is a child of a mother 2. All men and I mean all men who are either married or aspire to marry are or will marry a women. Those masquerading to be gay copy the gender roles of women and in effect practice women roles (they are not realists and they live in constant denial since they are sick). 3. Every father to a girl wants their daughters to be treated with respect. 4. Every parent wants their sons to marry a woman to carry on linage. Any attempt to demean or treat women with low regard is an abuse to self rather than to any body else. Such abuse their mothers and sisters and wives and daughters alike! One cannot pretend to respect his mother and demean other women simply because they are women. You cannot demand respect for your mother if you don’t respect other people’s mothers. Your mother cannot be the only worthy woman in your community. You have a friend who is a son, or daughter of a mother! It amazes me when even Christians perpetuate discrimination against women. Women do not have to do what men do to merit respect. Much more they should be respected for what they do that men cannot; for example their ability to use persuasive force rather than violent force to achieve a purpose. No one (man) can claim not to have sufficient reasons to celebrate women. Please do not just observe 8th March 2014 but celebrate the various gifts and benefits we enjoy from the female gender of human race. Remember Galatians 3:28 “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” Happy celebrations Noah and Stella Obokello
