HOPE for RESTORATION (Gaza, Israel, Brazil....) AY 16-(23.08) AWAKENS to the PROMISES of RESTORATION text: This I awoke, and looked, and my sleep was sweet to me (Jeremiah 31: 26). What led the Prophet to arouse from sleep and have the sensation of sweetness? He lived the reality of the captivity of his people. The circumstances were the same. But something new emerged. His humor meets a nice change. Yahweh the visited in his dreams with promises of restoration: thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel: I will say this word in the land of Judah, and in their cities, when I restore your captivity: Yahweh bless you, o abode of righteousness, o lot of Holiness! And it will dwell Judah and all its towns along; as well as farmers and those that graze the flock. Because satisfied the weary soul, and every soul saddened quenched (Jeremiah 31: 23-25). The vision of A restored Israel, as he describes in the previous verses, had come to him in his sleep. Awakening, there wasnt any feeling of bitter disappointment as the dreamer described in Isaiah 29: 8. The promises of restoration were so clear, that when he woke up was dominated by the confidence that God himself had spoken. He felt blessed and called his sweet sleep. Proved what says Proverbs 3:24 when you go to bed, never fear; thou shalt take thy rest, and your sleep will be quiet (candy). Every morning we woke up to a new day in which we will have the opportunity to live in the security of the promises of full restoration that God has for our lives. Yet that what the eyes see and the senses attest are contrary to promises, the sweetness of promise can master the heart. In time they will meet. The visible circumstances subjecting themselves to the transforming power of the promises. Therefore, retain firm the confession of our hope; because faithful is what promised, (Hebrews 10:23) which also will (Galatians 6:24). (Valnice Milhomes)
