Most Palestinians were brought in by Arafat from Egypt and Jordan to swell the Arab Palestinian numbers (they used to be called Jewish Palestinians and Arab Palestinians because Palestine was just the name of a region like europe but Arafat commandeered the name to assert ownership and caught on in the 70s).
