HOUSTON TX contact is -Slim 832-331-9360 This email just came in Friday May 30 6PM: His name is Bear and hes not quite a year old. Hes a yellow lab mix. They have him chained to the front of the house. They have had him since he was a small puppy, and they have always kept him chained outside even when it was brutally cold this past winter. 3 weeks ago the water was turned off at their home and they left, and left him chained to the house. I have been feeding him once a day and making sure he has water. He has no shelter from the heat or weather. The past couple of days and nights when it was storming and flooding, I went and got him and put him on my porch which is covered and stays dry. Hes a very sweet and playful boy, but has no training to speak of. They didnt even walk him. Hes covered in fleas. Hes starved for attention and would make a wonderful companion for someone who is willing to spend time with him. Hes not been food possessive with me and plays with other dogs very well. He also loves kids, but he does jump up. He has no idea how big he is. Hes a submissive pee-er, and cowers if you raise your hand too quickly, but he has never been aggressive to me. I really do think he would be such a great pet and deserves a much better family. I cannot afford to take him, nor do I have the room or time that he needs. He is in 5th ward, everyone in this neighborhood knows each other, so Im hoping to get him to a place where he wont end up back here. Hes at 4718 Buck St. 77020. Its a beat up blue house.
