HOW DID I BECOME DISRESPECTFUL TO ELDERS. ........................................,.................................... I was trained and brought up to respect people especially those older than me. Through the many lessons from sunday school in the Baptist Church, I also learned to even show respect to the younger ones since respect is reciprocal. So what happened? What went wrong? What changed? So why would I write pieces about the government of Ghana for which people think I show n respect to the President and his officials.? I know the Bible and other teachings preach respect for our elders and those in Authority which I so uphold. But let me ask oo, so if an elder and leader is misbehaving, underachieving, creating difficult survival conditions for his followers and lacks a sense direction and the said leader is called to book ....is that disrespect? I bet to differ. The Bible says spare the rod and spoil the child. So if you have a leader who does not understand the value and weight of the position he holds which could exploited to the comfort of the followers but sits down clueless and behave like a child then ...whip must be cracked at him. The same good book says he who deserves to be addressed as Foolish n stupid ..let it be so. Aaaa what stubborn government is this. U dont listen to anyone. No one points the left finger at his house...I love Ghana but I am ashamed of my govt, very embarrassing one indeed. How can the President distance himself from corruption. He is corrupt. If he is not he must stand out and distance himself from and punish his corrupt officials. You are feasting from the same bowl of corruption withe your officials...how can u curb corruption in the country. In a forest where all the trees are withering but for one ..unless that particular tree stands out tall lest it is counted part of the withering trees. When most countries go into economic hardship..the govt makes a lot of sacrifices like cutting down salaries, reducing govt the officials, and other measures to cushion the citizens. We accept Ghana is in crisis but what is the Prez doing..buying 13 pickup cars for chiefs and appointing ambassadors to Namibia and other countries...Clearly someone is not reasoning. What is Ghana gonna benefit from these countries.aaa ok or is it Job for the boys. Prez sit down think again. What the three ministers of state doing. What is their work? You think about winning elections, u plan to give sanitary pads to SHS girls who will turn 18 by 2016 and win their votes . This is barbaric n cruel to manipulate and influence these young minds..wat r u inculcating in them- corruption? Arent there girls in JHS who also menstruate.oh ok..they wont be eligible to vote so they dont derserve to benefit from the sanitary pads.. MAHAMA PAD FOR VOTE..ONE PAD ONE VOTE. NO VOTE NO PAD. There are a lot of aggitations among the citizenry and has resulted in these industrial and mass actions. These are similar to what led to the arab spring. Ghana is sitting on a time bomb oo. Mahama. There are many young and potential people in the country. Mr president stop crushing our future. and so I became disrespectful for this. More to come.
